SOT 2021 Additional Information

Attention Spotlight 2021 Contestants, Families, and teachers,
As plans for this year’s competition have moved along, the producers feel
we need to update you on 3 areas. Please read through this important
information:

Covid-19 Screening
• Every person participating –
contestants/families/teachers/judges/workers will have their
temperatures taken, and any person with a fever will have to
leave. We are sorry, but it would never be good if you are sick to
participate and endanger others, but with a fever indicating the
possibility of covid, it could be much more serious! It is very
complicated when a soloist is also in a group, and the decision in
the case of a fever in a member of a group will be decided after
consultation with the teacher of the group. We ask that you please
take this into consideration and if you have a fever the day of
competition, if you are in a group, contact them and stay at home
this year.

Covid-19 Waiver Form
• The attached waiver form will need to be completed and signed by a
parent/guardian of each individual contestant participating – each
soloist and each group member. All contestants over 18 must also
sign it. So please print it up, read and mark it, sign it, and bring it with
you on March 6. Teachers of a group, please gather all your waiver
forms and have them ready to turn in that day. Soloists who are also
in a group will turn theirs in at the time the solo registers.

Watch SOT 2021 Live
• Because this year only 1 parent/guardian, and in the case of groups –
one parent + teacher, will be allowed inside the hall, we are excited
to tell you that several Board members have arranged to video the
performances on a zoom setup. By following the zoom registration
to follow, family and teachers will be able to watch the performances
from outside the building. We recommend you go ahead and get
registered now rather than the day of competition, so that no one is
disappointed because of a last minute, rushed, glitch. Enjoy:

You are invited to a Zoom webinar.
When: Mar 6, 2021 08:30 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Topic: Spotlight on Talent
Register in advance for this webinar:

Purchase Digital Recordings of Performances

link to place your order –

Be sure to specify which act you participated in. Additional discounted
acts for your immediate family members and optional extras of thumb
drives or physical DVDs mailed are available as well.

When You Arrive on March 6, 2021

When you arrive on the 6th, please park in the large parking lot at the corner of
Church Ave. and 12th Street. If you have any props, immediately take
them around the right side of the Christian Life Center (CLC) building
to a back door that will be marked, and follow the directions of the
sign. All others need to go left – toward town – and follow the signs
around the FRONT, not BACK, of the sanctuary building to behind
the library building to the registration area. Line up with the markers
on the ground to stay safely distanced throughout the process. We
will see you there! Break a leg, and stay safe!

Please let us know of any questions or problems with this
information.  We look forward to next year’s competition, hopefully
without all these complications from the covid pandemic!
