Meet the winners

Maelee Scaglione

Maelee is a senior at Pasco High School. She has been taking dance classes in various styles since the age of four. When she’s not dancing, Maelee enjoys singing, playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family. She performed a Contemporary Dance.

Makenna Henry

Makenna is a senior at Cypress Creek High School and has been dancing for 13 years. She has been dancing competitively and has been actively involved in her school’s dance program since seventh grade. Over the past two years, she had the opportunity to showcase her choreography skills by creating dances for the younger students in the program. This year, she became captain of her school’s inaugural dance team as well as the vice president of the chapter’s National Dance Honor Society.
Outside of dance, she is involved in various volunteer and leadership programs, including serving as a Unified Partner for Special Olympics, captaining her school’s FHSAA Unified Bowling Team, and participating in clubs such as Best Buddies, Key Club, and NHS. She plans to study Language, Speech, and Hearing Sciences at the University of South Florida with the goal of becoming a speech pathologist to help children find their voice. While focusing on her studies, she hopes to continue dancing through USF’s many programs. She performed a Contemporary Dance.
