Nereim Fine Arts Award
The Nereim Fine Arts Awards, In honor of founding Board Members Gordon and jean Nereim.
Each year Heritage Arts Center Association awards $1,000 to a High School Senior from Pasco County, Florida, who submits artwork (painting, sculpture, drawings or photography) in our Nereim Visual Arts competition.
The Nereim Award was named in honor of Gordon and Jean Nereim, who were the founding Board Members of HACA. They were both lost in a tragic automobile accident in Dade City. Their love of the Arts lives on through this award.
All applications were due on March 31, 2024 for our 2024 Award.
Our 2025 Window will open January 1, 2025 and Close on March 31, 2025.
Our 2024 Nereim Fine Arts Award Recipient is
Jamison Weinberg
The 2024 Nereim award was presented to Jamison Weinberg of Cypress Creek High school. After graduation he Plans to study at the Ringling College of art and design, majoring in illustraton. His skills lie primarily in digital art.
He describes his work as “digital art illustration made on Procreate using almost exclusively the “ink bleed” brush. Dimension are 1860x 1620 pixels.”
Jamison’s work will be featured at our Heritage Art’s “Moonlight and Ivory” concerts and art show, held annually at Dade City’s Woman’s Club. This Year our Moonlight and Ivory show is scheduled on November 2, 2024. More information about that event, and the organization, may be found at heritagearts.org.
